About the Facility
Trinity Woods represents a unique partnership between Mount Mary University, the School Sisters of Notre Dame, and Milwaukee Catholic Home. This innovative intergenerational community brings together multiple generations under one roof:
-
52 assisted living units for the School Sisters of Notre Dame
-
90 independent living apartments for seniors (age 62+)
-
24 private family housing units for undergraduate single mothers and their children
-
Early childhood development center accommodating up to 100 children
The community's design reflects the collegiate gothic architectural style of Mount Mary University, featuring steep red gabled roofs, stone exteriors, and warm gray tones that complement the existing campus aesthetic. Interior spaces showcase natural wood, limestone, and thoughtful design elements that preserve the rich history of the School Sisters, including artwork and stained glass from their former campus.
Community Features
Trinity Woods features fully interconnected buildings linked by a Town Center that serves as a vibrant hub for conversation, dining, learning, prayer, and socialization across generations. The facility sits on beautiful wooded grounds that include a rare 10-acre southern mesic forest, treasured as a community resource in Milwaukee County.
